Complete Dua for Salah with Translation

Salah is the most important pillar of our religion, it’s obligatory to pray 5 times in a day and Salah is the key to Jannah. So we should understand our Salah with translation word by word.

Why It’s Important to understand what we recite in our prayer?

Allah says in the  Quran "O you who believe, seek assistance through bearing patience and through your prayer, Allah is indeed with those who bare patience". [ Surah Al - Baqrah : 153]

Today we pray 5 times a day, we connect with Allah but we don’t even understand the meaning of what we are saying in our prayer, this is why we are not happy because we haven’t understood salah. 

How we will be to seek assistance through prayer when we don’t even know the meaning of the words we are reading in our prayer.

Take sometime and understand meaning of all the words we read in our prayer. When we know the meaning, we will perform salah with more humality and veneration Insha Allah.

Salah-Prayer

Takbeer

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the greatest.

 Dua at the Start of the Prayer

اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْ خَطَايَايَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ.  

Allahumma, baa'id baini wa baina khatayaya kama ba'adta baina l-mashriqi wa l-maghrib. Allahumma, naqqini min al-khatayaya kama yunaqqa th-thawbu l-abyadhu mina d-danas. Allahumma, ighsil khatayaya bi l-maa'i wa th-thalji wa l-barad.

Translation: O Allah, distance me from my sins as you have distanced the east from the west, O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt, O Allah, wash away my sins with water, ice and hail. [Sahih Al - Bukhari : 744]

OR

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ.

Subhanaka Allahumma, wa bihamdika tabarakasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk.

Translation:  Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. Blessed be Your name and exalted be Your majesty, there is none worthy of worship except You. [ Sunan an-Nasai : 901]

 Surah Al Fatiha

The messenger of Allah said, Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid. [Sahih Al Bukhari : 756]

أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ.

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ مٰلِکِ یَوۡمِ الدِّیۡنِ ؕ اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَ اِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ اِہۡدِ نَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ   ۙ  غیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَ لَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ .

A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytaan-ir-rajeem,

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

Al-hamdu lillaahi rabbil aalameen

Ar-Rahmanir Raheem, Maaliki yaumid deen

Iyyaaka na’budu wa iyyaaka nasta'een

Ihdinas-siraatal mustaqeem

Siraatal ladheena an 'amta alayhim

Ghairil maghduubi alaihim waladdhaalleen. 

Translation: I seek refuge in Allah from the outcast Shaitan.

In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful.

All praise is due to Allah , Lord of the worlds -The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path -The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked Your anger or of those who are astray. Ameen

Now Recite any other passage from Quran.

During Ruku ( Bowing Down )

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ.

Subhaana Rabbiyal-Atheem.

Translation: Glory to my great lord.

  It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:

 I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) one night. He started reciting Surat Al-Baqarah and he recited one hundred verses, then did not bow, rather he continued. I thought, He will complete it in two rak'ah, but he continued. I thought,He will complete it and then bow, but he continued until he recited Surat An-Nisa, then Al-Imran. Then he bowed for almost as long as he had stood, saying while bowing, 'Subhan Rabbial-azim, Subhan Rabbial-azim, Subhan Rabbial-azim' ( Glory to my great Lord, Glory to my great Lord, Glory to my great Lord ). Then he raised his head and said: Sami' Allahu liman hamida (Allah hears whoever praises Him). Then he prostrated and made his prostration lengthy, saying: Subhan Rabbial-A'la, Subhan Rabbial-A'la, Subhan Rabbial-A'ala (Glory be to my Lord Most High, Glory be to my Lord Most High, Glory be to my Lord Most High). And he did not come to any verse that spoke of fear or glorifying Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, but he said something appropriate. [ Sunan Nasai : 1134]

Rising from the Ruku

سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ.

Sami' Allahu Liman hamida.

Translation: Allah hears whoever praises Him.

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ.

Rabbana wa laka l-hamdu, hamdan kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fih.

 Translation: O our Lord, All the praises are for You, many good and blessed praises. 

[Sahih Al Bukhari : 799]

 In Sujood

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى.

Subhan rabbiyal -A'ala.

Translation: Glory be to my Lord Most High.

 Between two Sujood

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَعَافِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي.

Allahumm-aghfir Lee warhamnee wahdinee wa'afinee warzuqnee.

Translation:  O Allah, grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to the path of righteousness, grant me protection and provide me sustenance. [Mishkat al-Masabih : 900]

Tashahhud ( when sitting)

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ .

At-Tahiyyatu lil-laihi was- sala-watu wattaiyyibatu, as-sallamu 'Alaika aiyuha-n-nabiyyu wa rahrmatu-l-lahi wa barak-atuhu, As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibaldi-l-lahis s-saliheen. Ashhadu an la ilaha il-lallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu. 

Translation: All the best compliments and the prayers and the good things are for Allah. Peace and Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be on you, O Prophet, Peace be on us and on the righteous servants of Allah, I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I also testify that Muhammad (p.b.u.h) is Allah's slave and His Messenger. [Sahih Al Bukhari : 6265]

 Darood Ibrahim

اللّٰہُمَ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ. اللّٰہُمَ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد ٍوَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَابَارَکْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ.

Allahumma salle alaa Muhammad wa'alaa aali Muhammad kamaa Sallayta alaa Ibraaheema wa'ala Aaali Ibraaheem innaka hameedum Majeed. Allahumma baarik 'alaa Muhammad wa'alaa aali Muhammad kama baarakta alaa Ibraaheema wa'alaa aali Ibraaheem innaka hameedum Majeed.

Translation: O Allah send peace on Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and to the family of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as you sent peace on Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) and the family of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) Indeed, you are praiseworthy and glorious. O Allah, bless the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and the family of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as you blessed Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) and the family of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) Indeed, you are praiseworthy and glorious.

After Tashahhud Before Salam

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ  وارحمني إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ. 

Allahumma inni zalumtu nafsi zulman kathiran, wala yaghfiru dh-dhunuba illa anta, fa 'ghfir li maghfiratan min 'indika, wa r-hamni, innaka anta l-ghafuru r-rahim.

Translation: O Allah! I have wronged my soul very much (oppressed myself), and none forgives the sins but You, so please bestow Your Forgiveness upon me. No doubt, You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Sahih Al Bukhari : 7387]

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min adhab i-lqabri wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-masihid-dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-mahya walmamat, Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-ma'thami wal-maghram.

Translation: O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the tribulation of the Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from sin and debt.
