Cursing 

Cursing is an act that separate a believer from his lord. Cursing a muslim is like killing him. Allah hate a person who is bad manner with his tongue. 

The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) said:

لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِالطَّعَّانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا اللَّعَّانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْفَاحِشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْبَذِيءِ  

Translation: The believer does not insult the honor of others, nor curse, nor commit Obscenity, nor is he foul. [ Tirmizi : 1977]

The perfect believer does not despise anyone, does not curse anyone, and is free from such vile attributes as bad languages, abusing, and obscenity.

The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) said:

Those who frequently resort to cursing (people) would neither be accepted as witnesses nor as intercessors on the Day of Resurrection. [ Sahih Muslim]

Do not curse anyone. It is not befitting for one in the habit of cursing to be among the truthful to Allah on the Day of Resurrection.

The Messenger of Allah ‌(p۔b۔u۔h) ‌ ‌said:

إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا لَعَنَ شَيْئًا صَعِدَتِ اللَّعْنَةُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتُغْلَقُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ دُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَهْبِطُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَتُغْلَقُ أَبْوَابُهَا دُونَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَأْخُذُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا فَإِذَا لَمْ تَجِدْ مَسَاغًا رَجَعَتْ إِلَى الَّذِي لُعِنَ فَإِنْ كَانَ لِذَلِكَ أَهْلًا وَإِلَّا رَجَعَتْ إِلَى قَائِلِهَا

Translation: when a man curses anything, the curse goes up to heaven and the gates of heaven are locked against it. Then it comes down to the earth and its gates are locked against it. Then it goes right and left, and if it finds no place of entrance it returns to the thing which was cursed, and if it finds no place of entrance it returns to the thing which was cursed, and if it deserves what was said (it enters it), otherwise it returns to the one who uttered it. [Abu Dawood : 4905]

A person may be good from outside but if he is abusive with his tongue so he is not pure, he may be hurtful, he may be utter words that are unacceptable, these words can actually sometime levae him to damaging his reputation with Allah, such that he might even come out from the Fold of islam. 

Taunting

Allah says in the Qur'an:

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا یَسۡخَرۡ قَوۡمٌ مِّنۡ قَوۡمٍ عَسٰۤی اَنۡ یَّکُوۡنُوۡا خَیۡرًا مِّنۡہُمۡ وَ لَا نِسَآءٌ مِّنۡ نِّسَآءٍ عَسٰۤی اَنۡ یَّکُنَّ خَیۡرًا مِّنۡہُنَّ ۚ وَ لَا تَلۡمِزُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَکُمۡ وَ لَا تَنَابَزُوۡا بِالۡاَلۡقَابِ ؕ بِئۡسَ الِاسۡمُ الۡفُسُوۡقُ بَعۡدَ الۡاِیۡمَانِ ۚ وَ مَنۡ لَّمۡ یَتُبۡ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ

Translation: O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers. [Al Quran _49:11]

 

Explanation:  Giving someone else a bad name that is offensive to them.  Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): It is a sin to do so, and it will make you a sinner, and you will be called a sinner, and it will be a sin for a Muslim to be called a sinner. The result will be that you were slandering someone else, and in doing so you will slander yourself.

 

Worst People on the day of judgement

The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) said:

O Aaishah, Have you ever seen me speaking a bad and dirty language? (Remember that) the worst people in Allah's sight on the Day of Resurrection will be those whom the people desert or leave in order to save themselves from their dirty language or from their transgression. [ Sahih Al Bukhari : 6063]

The habit of cursing and taunting someone makes a man sinful, it separate a person from his creator and his testimony and intercession will not be considered on the Day of Judgement.

How to purify your Tongue😛?

Today cursing, swearing and taunting became the second Nature of the society. People use bad and foul languages while conversation just for fun.We are using bad and dirty words with our friends considering as joke. We see and hear obscene and dirty languages in movies, music and other social platforms and applying in our conversation. 

But Remember its unacceptable for a muslim to use bad and foul language because it separates a believer from his Lord, and Allah declared them the worst People on the day of judgement.

1. offer Salah five times a day on its prior time. Because it keeps us away from indecent and shameful activities. Allah says in the Qur'an: "Salah indeed prevent a person from indecency and evil". [Al Qur'an_29:45]
2. Change the bad company of your friend circle Let them know that you avoid foul languages.
3. Avoid watching movies, television shows, and YouTube videos which are used with cursing and bad languages.
4. When you are in conversation with friends Pretend that your parents are always listening you.
5. Promise with Allah to not use bad and obscene words never again and fulfil it. The muslims, When he utter something with his tongue, it's enough thats itself must be an oath and promise.

A muslim doesn't swear he doesn't use bad and abusive language that is not the way  muslim speaks. A muslim speech is noble, pure and it's dignified.
